Rotation Diet

Here we go again.  A new rotation diet for DD.  She's been on one that I created but it's really hard to follow it because I feel like there's not enough food to rotate.  It's been such a struggle.  Also she's a toddler and sort of picky, so sometimes what's on the menu plan isn't what she wants to eat.  So sometime today, I have to sit down and create a new one, referencing the ALCAT test.   I look forward to the day when we no longer have to deal with these allergies.

I only have one wish on my Christmas list.  I want her to outgrow her food intolerances and allergies that have been wrecking havoc in her life.  That's all.  Is that too much to ask?

I was dreading this day (Angsty post)

Today was the day I've been dreading.  I received the ALCAT blood test results for my daughter.  I was anxious about it.  In a way I felt it was good to know what foods to avoid that are bothering her(intolerance) but at the same time I worried there'll be more foods I have to take out of her already limited diet.  I received the results today and with a heavy heart I'm posting here.  I'm still trying to make sense of it all.  I know I'll wallow, it's how I deal and hopefully by the end of this week, my spirits will be better, God help me.

I want to compare the results of the ALCAT with SPT which is for food allergies so I can make a definite new diet plan for her again.   I feel like I'm starting from scratch.  I don't even know where to begin.

Yam flour

A few months ago I discovered this store that sells tuber flours and I was very interested because it meant more food for my child to eat.   I've been ordering from them since September of this year and I was really pleased.  For my sake I didn't expect everything to taste like regular baked goods, and that mentality worked really good for me!

Anyway, I recently ordered yam flour.  Whoa, it was so expensive but I did find a merchant where I can order it cheaper.  I'm going to definitely do that next time.

I'm not allowed to share the recipes that came with the yam flour because they are patented however I'll say they were rather easy to make and very tasty.  You don't make them like a traditional cookie.   My daughter loved them and that's the important thing!  This makes me happy!

Moving my blog

Hey everyone! I decided to move my blog here from another site.  I'm still trying to figure out how to export everything so please bear with me.   This is a working progress!   I need to blog more especially because my recipes are all mainly floating in my head and need to be put down somewhere.

I'll keep y'all updated!
